Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Corpus Christi.

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Join the Corpus Christi Photography Group on Facebook to share your photos after the session.

It was nice to drop all my worries and go out with camera in hand to smell the roses, and capture a few pics, helping me to learn more about my new dslr. The host is pleasant and knowledgable about the craft, and doesn't hesitate to step into a mentor role to share tips and advice. I thoroughly enjoyed the " Morning Stroll in the Park" event, and I plan to participate again.

I really enjoyed the event. I like how the challenges allowed me to focus on some things I generally don't consider.

I was throwing out shrimp to Ayurveda birds for a few photos. These two didn't act afraid and landed pretty close to eat what had fallen near me.

I visited the Oso Bay Preserve one night after work hoping to find some migrating warblers. Turned out to be a slow night which was a blessing in disguise because it allowed to really focus on practicing lighting and composition with some of our local ?regulars? like this Mourning Dove. Taken with a Canon Rebel T7 using a Sigma 150-400mm lens.

This was taken with a Canon 100-400mm lens with aa 1.4 Extender attached and was fully zoomed at 560mm. I was surprised the dragonfly stopped long enough to get the shot. I was on a tripod with IS off. 1/80 sec, f/16, ISO 800.

This is an image of purple bee balm, a native plant found in Texas. It blooms about this time and reseeds itself every year. Bees love it and I frequently can get images of bees pollinating this flower. I took this with a 100mm Canon macro lense on a Canon R5. Exposure - F11, 1/30, ISO 800. The day was overcast with little wind which made taking the image much easier. It was processed in Light Room, Photoshop and Topaz AI for noise and sharpening.

? Society for Visual Education ? My husband loves yard sales and estate sales and knows if he finds any vintage cameras he needs to buy them. Chose the black and white edit with a low key, so the silver on the lens popped.

This capture has a few things that some might not thoughts of using for a picture. I will start with I used a white poster board that you can buy at any of your local stationary store. After editing the capture, I added the backdrop that you are seeing in the capture. Now, the idea of this capture came to me when I was having a down time for myself when suddenly the idea came to me. I wanted to come up with something cute and funny all at the same time.
