Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Corpus Christi.

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Join the Corpus Christi Photography Group on Facebook to share your photos after the session.

I really enjoyed the event. I like how the challenges allowed me to focus on some things I generally don't consider.

On holiday from Scotland to Norway, took this photo next to the Munsch Museum, thought I could capture a number 8 with the reflection of the wheel onto the waterway.

I took this photo of the whooping crane in the afternoon in Larmar, Texas. This afternoon, after noon, there were about 40 whooping cranes all out in the field.

We took a trip to a rookery via boat. The birds were so busy building nests that they did not even notice us drifting off in the distance. This photo was taken from a boat during my 2024 whooping crane workshop.

This is the best way to capture sunrises in Corpus Christi. On this day, the sun was barely peaking through the clouds and offered great shadow and hue to the photo. The waves were silent and the water left by the tide gave a great reflection.

This bright little robin landed on a lichen-covered branch in my garden on a rather dull day. I used a fast shutter speed and a wide aperture to isolate him from the background.Nikon D610, Nikon 28-300mm 1/1000 sec f/5.6 Auto ISO 1800

Location: Upper Glen Alpine Falls. I hiked to this location after sunset. The foreground is a single photo I took during the blue hour for clarity and sharpness. I couldn't wait for the Milky Way at this location due to high bear activity it was almost dark by the time I hiked back to the car. The Milky Way picture is a stack of 19 frames for noise reduction, taken a few hours later over Lake Tahoe, which is just a few miles away from the falls.Edited in Luminar Neo.

This shot was taken on my first day into this trip. My wife and I decided to spend Labor Day weekend in the mountains which was wonderful but also very busy which isn't the best for wildlife photography. However, I did come away with some good shots from my outing (mostly landscape) and this is by far one of my favorite. I love how the light is striking the deer's face while he is mostly shrouded in shadow. I took this with a Nikon 200-500mm @ 500, 1/160s, ISO 100 and f6.3. I shot this across th

Was out looking for anything to photograph on one my few days off from work. So I went to the plot of land where I deer hunt. Any wild flower that may still be in bloom, insects, things like that. Tons of grasshoppers everywhere and I came across this fella. I didn't realize he possibly had a wounded left wing until I processed the photos. No wonder he sat thru many different angles, exposures, and me getting up in his face and didn't offer to fly off. LOL
